BERT GILBERT / ARTIST, SOUND AND CRYSTAL PRACTITIONER
Bert Gilbert is a cross disciplinary Artist, DJ, crystal and sound practitoner. Her art practice is informed by critical and active engagement with ritual and altered states of being, as part of re-discovering Mircea Eliade’s universal 'Sacred Heritage’. She sees the artist as the sensor, that picks up shared information and feeds it back, via interactions and interventions, to the collective mind; making the invisible, visible. Her DJ career has taken her all over the world with numerous residencies and moonlight festival appearances.
She spent an extensive period of time in the jungles of Peru where she trained in plant medicine facilitation and Atacama desert in Chile working with indigenous Shipibo and Likan Antai communities, to create, with their full permission, immersive soundscapes from field recordings and ceremonies.
Learning to play planetary gongs (She studied gong mastery under Mehtab Benton and the Don Conreaux method) became a natural procession in her interest of curating what she calls ‘oracle chambers’ alongside her ongoing fascination with esoteric mystery rituals, trauma based somatic practices and the creation of individual and social heart-brain coherence.
Her mother is a gifted mystic, hypnotherapist and healer who trained her from an early age in crystal and sound healing.
She encorporates traditional Shipibo methods of clearing energy using the transmission of power she was given by Maestro Enrique Lopez, alongside incense and resins, breathwork, crystal grails,frequency bio-sensors and other handmade instruments into her sessions.
COLIN ROSS WATERSON / COMPOSER
Colin Ross Waterson is a composer, lyricist and producer working across Theatre, Film, Sound & Art. Originally from Glasgow, he trained in music at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (junior programme) and theatre at London Studio Centre. He was a member of Royal Scottish National Orchestra (youth ensemble), and made his professional debut—aged thirteen—in Benjamin Britten's Death in Venice.
Currently, he is writing music & lyrics for new British musical A Second Chance; dance-theatre piece Two Susans; and a new song for short film Paris Still Burns—all in collaboration with writer-choreographer Ben Hartley.
Recently completed commissions include: sound design for contemporary artist, Bert Gilbert; a new song for short film Blood Out of a Stone directed by Ben Allen; a classical crossover ident for RTL Nederlands; composing and producing a video project for Billie Ray Martin called Five Takes; a sound sculpture for The Horror Show at Somerset House; and score / song for multi award-winning short film Early Mourning.
Prior to his career as a composer, Colin performed as a dancer—most notably as a member of Matthew Bourne's dance theatre company—creating various roles in the now iconic Swan Lake, dancing in both the Olivier-winning West End and TONY-winning Broadway runs.
During his time as a performer, he recorded as Waterson, singing on a wide array of music. Highlights include: club hit Tell Me; Grammy-nominated Skylight with film composer Kim Planert; and a slew of underground classics including Scars with KDA on the [PIAS] label, Strip Down with Smokin' Jo on the Junior Boys Own label and Ego with Ashley Beedle on the Ramrock label. His music routinely got support from all the big hitters and he collaborated with seminal names in house music: Black Science Orchestra, Kenny Dope, Honey Dijon, Terry Farley, and Severino.

Gil is a Glasgow based musician / writer / artist.
He has released over 20 albums and toured the world.
Under his ambient / drone alias ZAPO DE RAY he has worked with artists and poets across Europe,
sculpting sound to words / photography/ art installations.
He is currently collaborating on a Film project with a visual artist from Boston, USA and with Bert Gilbert making transcendental drone portals.
